After thoughts of how to make The user experience as easy as 1-2-3
I have decided to change again the GUI back to something easy to follow in a series of windows that ask questions along the lines of:
1. Select input folder then either select output folder or tick box to overwrite originals
2. Select the conversion profile and settings you need
3. Click the button to convert
It’s going to be as simple as that!!

Facebook and Flickr uploaders are coming back!! Yes that right, just in time before I have no time with the imminent birth of my second child!!
The flickr uploader should be as it was before, no change, but the Facebok uploader has been revamped using thumbnail image previews within the datagrid of images.
Also it now using the Facebook C# SDK and newtonsoft JSON libraries to communication with facebook through Graph API.
I will integrate the Facebook uploader into the windows explorer shell, so that if you right-click on a folder with image inside it, it will launch the uploader and select your album and then upload.

Weve done it!! v1.0.1.0 has now been released and is a major upgrade to what it was before.
Interface and language translations were the main changes to this build. A great deal of thanks goes to Geert Delmeiren/Gregory Marcel for helping with the beta testing and language translations.
FIXED: More cleanup done to convert image code
FIXED: Profile list was too long and flowing over program window – Reduced number of items visible at any one time from 15 to 13
ADDED: Obfuscation to protect the source code from being used elsewhere
FIXED: Minor issues relating to the saving deleting of custom profiles
ADDED: Language translations added (French, Dutch)
FIXED: Minor changes done to the programs interface to accommodate different languages
FIXED: Profile Editor had minor issue with saving but wont compromise existing custom user profiles.
FIXED: Output previous folder would sometimes display blank entry
FIXED: number of dialogs from being maximised
FIXED: Profile combobox was not resizing when selecting a different language
ADDED: System tray icon with option to show / hide main window
FIXED: Cleaned up duplicate code on convert function by half to make it easier to update in future
FIXED: Inserted try catch exception where ever possible to suppress all possible errors that may occur
FIXED: Quick Convert message box never appears on top of all other applications
FIXED: Exception would be occur if image to convert was to large to go into RAM
Now into Beta 5 were are nearing the finsh line and on track for a May 2010 release date..
Wer now have French and Dutch translations in, but still require any others, please if you can help, let me know asap. The more languages the better!!
We expect version 1.0.1.0 to be released May 16, unless something major happens it will move back a week but will still be out in time for May..
Photo Magician needs your help in converting the English UK text into the following languages:
German
Spanish
Italian
Russian
Dutch
French
Portugese
If you can translate any of the above can you please follow these simple steps:
1) The UK.ini file is written in the following format key=text ,for example Button2.text=Profile Editor
All you need to do is on each line where there is an = translate the text after the = symbol.
Example
UK: Button2.text=Profile Editor
French: Button2.text=Éditeur de profil
Spanish: Button2.text=El editor de perfiles
PLEASE NOTE:
Do not change anything in the [] square brackets or anything before the = symbol.
